Review: Etude House Bubble Hair Coloring in Sweet Orange +plus+ a brief history of whatshername

at 4:29 AM 6 comments
As I have said in my first ever blog post, I am a late bloomer. In all beauty-related aspects, I think, and this includes dyeing my hair.

I’ve wanted to dye my hair so bad, even way back, even during high school, but since my school didn’t allow it, I never dared to do so. (I did have it temporarily dyed reddish brown during Christmas break though – washed it after three days and the color vanished... didn’t expect it to be THAT temporary L)

Here’s how it looked (Luckily, I was able to save this picture)

Gahd, I look so slim here. But now...
When I reached college, the desire was still there but being more conscious and aware of what my hair was like (thick, frizzy, and difficult to maintain), I still didn’t pursue. And to add to that, I didn’t know what exact shade I wanted! I wanted a low maintenance and not-so-outrageous color, but different and noticeable too. (I’m so contradictory, I confuse myself sometimes) Of course, the color had to suit my skintone as well.

Come my 4th year in college, (this was during summer and OJT days) my cousin dyed her hair Mahogany and it looked really good on her. I obsessed about it for around 2 weeks and decided to follow suit. So for almost a year (dyed my hair once every six months), this was my shade.

Since I started reading beauty blogs during the last quarter of the year, I’ve constantly landed on beautyblogs which featured Etude House’s Bubble Hair Color. I found it intriguing because it was a shampoo-type dye, which was a first for me. But since I was content with my shade, I shrugged off any inkling to try it out.

Come December, I noticed that my natural shade (darkEST brown) was showing already. Seems my hair regrowth is getting faster. That was the time when I’ve been frequenting EH stores, and before I knew it, I made up my mind to try the famous hair colorant.

The great debate happening all inside my mind was the shade – Wine Red or Sweet Orange? Lucky me, Wine Red was out of stock. And we all know what happened next. See related post here.

(WOW ANG HABA NA NG INTRO KO. The babbler in me has been unleashed yet again! Mwahahaha! --- and the brief history of whatshername has been told. ^_^)

Merry Christmas again Lovelies! I hope you all had a greeeaaaat one!

Christmas may be over but the holidays are here to stay! (Until January 1, at least :P) And so this Christmas nails post is still valid. ^_^

I am not an expert in doing my nails. I don't even have nail art tools! But I'm proud of this (didn't even think I could do it). So, with its normal nail polish brush (and toothpick), allow me to present My Christmas Nails!

There you have it lovelies, my humble Christmas nails. What do you think? Please be kind, kay? Hee-hee.

Etude House Haul - plus something really cheap

at 3:22 AM 4 comments
Hello Lovelies! I know I’ve been MIA and I’m truly sorry for that. Everything’s just so hectic, I’m still trying to catch up. As of now, I have to step up my game in almost all subjects in my review. Since Christmas vacation started, I’ve only been able to read on one subject and solve about 20 problems. That’s so lame! Gaaaaaaaaa. Anyway, I won’t prolong the babbling and ranting.

I absolutely adore Etude House and their overly-pink store! Don’t get me wrong now... I am not a girly girl. I just love how a girl can get all princess-y and cute-sy just by entering the store. Plus, I’ve always been treated nicely by the SAs. Sometimes though, it gets a bit awkward when I don’t plan on buying anything and just want to look around. Teehee ^_^;

So this is what I got the last time I went there. (SM Southmall branch, btw)

Review: Daiso Natural Nose Pack

at 1:41 AM 1 comments
Hello lovelies!! It's been a while. A really long while! This is the second weekend since my review started, and I meant to write this post last weekend, but due to short-term memory loss (READ: stupid me), I wasn't able to. But never mind that, because here I am! Did you guys miss me? No? Missed me or not, let's head on to the main topic. ^_^

Ever since I read about Saizen in blogs, I really wanted to visit a branch, but all branches were too far from where I live and I could only go there if someone would take me. Fortunately for me, meh familia went to Market! Market! three saturdays ago, I think. And of course I insisted on visiting Saizen. I was fascinated by the makeup aisle, and was surprised that a lot of ladies were squishing their way through. I guess the items are great finds @ 85php each huh. I ended up buying three items: Natural Nose Pack, Makeup sponges, and cute strawberry hair accessories. Actually, I imagined myself hauling a lot, but due to time constraints, I wasn't able to fully explore the store.

This review is about Daiso Natural Nose Pack. Okay, I'll be honest. I thought this product is part of the Charcoal line which everyone's been raving about. I really wanted to try those but I'm finishing off products of the similar kind so I just got the nose pack. (thinking it was part of the charcoal line) But no, it isn't.
